E-Tutoring

Whether you are taking a class online or just have a question when the Center is closed, the Academic Support Center's E-Tutoring service is just a click away! You can ask a specific question, review concepts, or submit a paper for review and comment and receive an answer via e-mail within 24-78 hours.

All papers submitted for review must be submitted as attachments in either .rtf or .doc format. If you're not sure how to do that, send us that message as a question and we'll be happy to help.

If you've sent us a question or paper and you haven't received a response, maybe it went into your Bulk Mail (sometimes called Junk Mail) folder. Click here for instructions on how to set your spam filter to allow messages from HCCC into your Inbox in the future.

If you've received a paper from our tutors but can't see their comments, maybe your Reviewing Toolbar is not turned on. Click here to see how to make comments appear.

Remember to fill out all the information on the form, including your major, course name (and number if you know it), and instructor's name. Please be very careful to type your own e-address correctly.

Also remember that long weekends may delay response time, so take that into consideration when submitting work with close deadlines.
