Ask about their classes - the good, the bad and the ugly!
Ask your student how their classes are going. How are the professors? Are you able to keep up with work load? Did you finish that term paper? Every semester will be different, and some classes will be more difficult than others. Remember to encourage them to talk to their professor, and utilize the Academic Support Center to be sure they are earning the best possible grade.
