ESSAY & GENERAL LITERATURE INDEX (1900 – present). A listing of essays published in collections. Subjects include topics of broad interest to students of Shakespeare as well as criticism of specific works.
HUMANITIES INDEX (1974 – present). Lists articles from over 350 periodicals devoted to classical studies, folklore, history, literature, performing arts, etc. Provides detailed lists of articles written about Shakespearean works, performances, and criticisms.
MLA INTERNATIONAL BIBLIOGRAPHY (1970 – present). Lists journal articles and books on linguistics, literature, and folklore by date and geographic location. Includes those aspects of Shakespeare.

SHAKESPEARE QUARTERLY (1950 – present). Contains articles on all aspects of Shakespeare and his world. Includes an annual list of all works on Shakespeare published internationally.
THE EXPLICATOR (1969 – present). Contains literary criticism articles on all Western literature, including Shakespeare.
