INTERNET RESOURCES

Arbitron Radio Ratings    The Arbitron company measures network and local market stations and studies retail, media and product patterns of local market consumers.  This site has a virtual reference library and free reports.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC)    The FCC regulates interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable.  This site contains news releases, station licensing information, Federal broadcasting laws, contact and job information.

National Association of Broadcasters.  Covers the radio and television industries, personalities, news, job information, online publications, research, and legal links.

Nielsen Media Research.    This site explains how the Nielsen company measures TV ratings, audiences, and advertising.  Includes data on ethnic television audiences.

Society of Broadcast Engineers.    Jobs, news, scholarships, exam preparation, workshops and conferences.
