CAMPUS LAW ENFORCEMENT JOURNAL (1993 – present). Promotes professional ideals and standards for law enforcement, security and public safety.

CRIME AND JUSTICE INTERNATIONAL (1997 – present). Worldwide coverage of academic articles, book reviews, terrorism, technology and perspectives.

FBI LAW ENFORCEMENT BULLETIN (1986 – present). Presents concise articles on current police techniques, crime problems, equipment and training.

POLICE CHIEF (1984 – present). Covers all aspects of the law enforcement profession including employment opportunities.

Encyclopedia of American Crime. Ref.HV6789 .S54. The 2001 two-volume work is essentially a history of crime in America, arranged alphabetically by subject.

Encyclopedia of Crime and Justice. Ref.HV6017 .E52 2002. These four volumes cover a wide array of topics in the administration of criminal justice and criminology.

Law Officer’s Pocket Manual. Ref.HV8141 .L38. This manual contains basic operational knowledge of the impact of law on police practices.

Opportunities in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Careers. HV8143.S86 2003. Descriptions of jobs available at the city, county, state, and federal levels, as well as careers in the private sector; also includes profiles of many related jobs in the field, including polygraph operator, document examiner, and corrections officer.

Sourcebook of Criminal Justice Statistics. Ref.HV6787 .S68. A publication of the U.S. Department of Justice, this resource covers crime, justice, public opinion and emerging trends.

JUSTNET: Justice Technology Information Network. This site offers technological innovations for criminal justice professionals.

National Criminal Justice Reference Service. Information about criminal and juvenile justice; included are topics on corrections, courts, crime prevention, criminal justice statistics and other related topics.

New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. Information is presented here on criminal justice legislation, current issues, statistics and links to other state and federal criminal justice agencies.

National Crime Prevention Council. This online resource center includes McGruff’s “Take a Bite Out of Crime” site.

National Archive of Criminal Justice Data. This group acquires, archives and provides access to the electronic criminal justice collections for research and instruction.
