Summer 2008 Course Offerings

PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING: Summer coursework has a credit hour restriction due to the shortened time frame of these classes. OPTION 1: You are limited to seven to eight (7-8) VA credits and seven to eight (7-8) VB credits, if you also want to take one (1) VS class. OPTION 2: You are limited to three to four (3-4) VA credits and three to four (3-4) VB credits, if you also want to take two (2) VS session classes. Failure to comply may result in deregistration from all of your courses.

IMPORTANT FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION:
Herkimer County Community College “summer term” is considered an ending term for the 2007-2008 academic year. Student must submit a summer application to be considered for financial aid. Only matriculated students may qualify to apply for summer financial aid. Herkimer County Community College does not matriculate new students for the summer term. Summer award notifications are not mailed to students due to the low volume of students eligible to receive aid. We recommend contacting the Financial Aid Office at (315) 866-0300, ext 8282 or toll-free in NYS at (888) 464-4222, ext. 8282 if you have questions regarding summer financial aid eligibility.

Step 1: Begin the registration process by submitting the On-Line Non-Matriculated Application Form.

Step 2: Register for your course(s) using Student Online Services.


Step 3: Access the course(s) at the Herkimer SLN ANGEL Web site one week prior to the course start date.

  • ANGEL Student Accounts Between now and May 5, 2008 - ANGEL accounts will be created on Fridays by 3PM. Between May 5 - May 22 - ANGEL accounts will be created on a daily basis by 3PM.
  • Course access date: One week before the Course Start Date
  • Last day to withdraw from a Session A course (designated by section VA or V1): June 17, 2008
  • Last day to withdraw from a Session B course (designated by section VB or V2): August 4, 2008
  • Last day to withdraw from a Session S course (designated by section VS): July 21, 2008
  • HCCC Student Email Accounts will be created daily beginning on May 5 for new Summer 2008 students

Online Summer semester courses are very intense.


Courses are accessed through the Herkimer SLN ANGEL Web site at https://herkimer.sln.suny.edu. (You can find more information regarding determining your ANGEL Username and Password here: http://www.ia.herkimer.edu/angel.) You are encouraged to access your course one week prior to the actual class start day. You will be required to access your course by the first day of class.
