Summer Financial Aid

Financial Aid for the summer session is only available for eligible HCCC students that were matriculated prior to the Summer 2013 semester, and are in good academic standing. To be matriculated the student must be pursuing a degree from HCCC. Eligibility for summer aid is explained below. To be considered for any federal financial aid for the summer session, students must complete an HCCC 2013 Summer Financial Aid Application and have a completely processed 2012-2013 FAFSA in our Financial Aid Office by June 30, 2013.
Direct Loans can be awarded to students who have not used all of their loan eligibility during the 2012-2013 academic year, and are enrolled for at least 6 credit hours during the summer session.
Pell Grants are available to students that meet one of the following criteria.
Students that were part time or attended college for only one of the academic semesters.
New York State Aid (TAP) is available to students attending at least 6 credit hours that have earned at least 12 credit hours in each of the previous 2 semesters at HCCC. Students must file the 2013-2014 FAFSA to be considered for TAP.

It’s time to file your 2013-2014 FAFSA form! File prior to April 1st, 2013 to be considered for all financial aid programs! You will need your FAFSA pin, go to http://www.pin.ed.gov to apply or retrieve your pin. Go to http://www.fafsa.gov to file your 2013-2014 FAFSA application. Be sure to complete your New York State TAP application on the confirmation page of the FAFSA!!
