The school has requested a copy of my IRS Tax Transcript. Where do I get this?
There are a couple ways to get IRS Tax Transcripts to the Financial Aid Office:
A. IRS DATA RETRIEVAL
The BEST way to verify income is using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool as part of FAFSA on the Web. Using this process, your federal income tax information will be transferred directly to your FAFSA form.
Go to: http://www.FAFSA.gov , login to the student(tm)s FAFSA record
Select: “Make FAFSA Corrections,” and navigate to the FINANCIAL INFORMATION section of the form.
From there, follow the instructions to determine if the student and/or parent is eligible to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to transfer 2012 IRS income tax information into the student(tm)s FAFSA. If you need more information about when, or how to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool, contact the Financial Aid Office.
