Head Coach: Sharon Howell

Sharon Howell enters her 24th year as the Head Coach of the Generals Track & Field program. Howell’s teams have captured 3 Regional Championships during her tenure (1982, 2001, 2002) and also finished as the National runner-up in 2001.

A 1979 graduate of HCCC, where she was a track & field All American, Howell transferred on to the University of Rhode Island where she set school records in the high jump and long jump.

An Associate Professor of Physical Education at HCCC, Howell earned her Masters degree from Cortland State in 1986. The 2001 NJCAA Track & Field Coach of the Year, Howell resides in Ilion with her husband Bill and children: Amanda and Sharon.
