Herkimer Women's Tennis
Head Coach: Katie Scanlon
Katie (DeCoursey) Scanlon, a three-sport college athlete, graduated from Herkimer County Community College in 2001 and SUNYIT in 2003. At Herkimer, Katie competed in tennis and softball and was named 2001 Female Athlete of the Year for her accomplishments.
Upon graduation from HCCC, Katie transferred to SUNY Plattsburgh where she competed at the first singles and doubles flights under the leadership of Coach Matt Mero. She earned a SUNYAC tennis championship in 2002. Katie finished her athletic career at SUNYIT where she played softball and volleyball in the very competitive SUNYAC Conference. She earned the honor of Female Athlete of the Year at SUNYIT in 2003 for her performance on the softball and volleyball teams.
Katie is employed by Herkimer County Community College as an academic advisor. She resides in Ilion with her husband Cory.
