Head Coach: Tom Basel

Tom Basel joined Herkimer County Community College as the men's tennis coach in 2007. Originally from Endicott, NY, Basel is a 1989 graduate of Owego Free Academy. He earned a B.A. in political science from St. John Fisher (1993) where he played soccer and tennis. He also holds an M.S. Ed from SUC at Cortland (2000). Since 1996, Basel has been a social studies teacher at Poland Central School. Prior to that, he taught social studies at Seton Catholic High School in Binghamton (1995-96). He has coached varsity soccer at Seton Catholic High School, tennis at Owego Free Academy, and girls varsity soccer and tennis at Poland Central School. He resides in Herkimer with his wife Julie and children Leah and Ryan.
