5/14-5/15 Men's Lacrosse to play at National Championships

Seeding for nationals has been announced::

#1 Onondaga (16-1)

#2 Herkimer County Community College (15-2)

#3 Nassau (8-8)

#4 CCBC Essex (10-3)

Nationals will be played at The Community College of Baltimore County Essex Campus in Baltimore, MD. Onondaga will play CCBC Essex at noon on Saturday. Herkimer plays Nassau at 3:00 on Saturday. The championship game is scheduled for 1:00 Sunday.

5/8/05 Men's Lacrosse defeated in overtime

This was one of the most dramatic Region III Championship games in Herkimer history as they fell against Onondaga at Alfred State 17-16 in overtime. Herkimer scored 2 times in the last half of the game. Rob Renetta scored at the 1:51 and Zach Heyl at the :32 mark. Our leading scorers were Adam Zuder-Havens 5-2, Chad Henry 3-3 and Zach Heyl 3-1. The defense was led by Brett Queener with 20 saves.

5/7/05 Men's Lacrosse beats Broome

Herkimer had a great game. Our leading scorers were Zach Heyl 4-1, Adam Zuder-Havens 2-3, Jason Fietta 2-2, Geoff Weaver 3-2, and Jedd Gardner 2-2. Our defense was led by Goalie Brett Queener with 7 saves in the first half and Ryan Buckley with 10 saves in the second half. Todd Olson, Anthony Bozymowski, Mike Piccini and Danny Snyder did a good job defending the goal.

Men's Lacrosse Regionals May 7 and 8

The Men's lacrosse regionals will be played at Alfred State this weekend. HCCC plays Broome at noon on Saturday. The championship game will be played Sunday at 1:00.

4/23/05 Men's Lacrosse defeats Nassau 10-2

Herkimer played an outstanding game. We held strong in the first three quarters with a score of 8-0. Our top scorers were Derek Franzen 4-0, Zach Heyl 1-2. Jared Garcia and Brandon Butler dominated the faceoffs. Defense was led by Brett Queener with 11 saves. Anthony Bozymowski tallied an assist. Mike PIccin, Hans Van Houten, Jordan Stair led our defense to a shutout for 3 quarters of the game.

4/19/05 Lacrosse Nets 28 in Victory Over Cobleskill

Herkimer Men's Lacrosse was back in action on Tuesday and netted 28 goals to take a 28-1 victory. Top scorers for the Generals were Marshall Kay 3-1, Geoff Weaver 3-1, and JJ Donnelly 3-1. Lacrosse is back in action on Saturday at Nassau CC.

4/16/05 Men's Lacrosse defeated Onondaga 11-6

Adam Zuder-Haven led the Generals with 5 goals and 2 assist. Chad Henry had 3 goals and 2 assist and Derek Franzen chipped in with 2 goals and 2 assist. Brett Queener recorded 21 saves while dishing out 1 assist. HCCC will travel to Suny Delhi to take on the Broncos at 4pm 4/18/05.

Men's Lacrosse loses first game of the season

Herkimer suffered their first loss of the season in a thrilling 14-13 OT game at Monroe CC on Saturday. Chad Henry lead all scorers with 6 goals while Adam Zuder Havens chipped in with 3 goals and 3 assists. Brandon Butler had a goal and 2 assists.

Men's Lacrosse beat SUNY Canton

The Men's Lacrosse team beat SUNY Canton last night by a score of 24-2. Eric Beatty score 3 goals and added an assist and Zach Heyl had three goals. The Generals, 7-0 and NO. 1 in the Nation, put the game away with 15 goals in the second quarter. The Generals next game is on Saturday at Monroe CC at 1:00 pm.

Men's Lacrosse Beats Hudson Valley

Herkimer County Community College scored 10 goals in the first quarter and the top ranked Generals rolled to a Region III win.
HCCC plays at No. 3 Monroe Community College on Saturday.

Herkimer beats Suffolk in Men's Lacrosse

On Saturday, Herkimer jumped out to an 8-2 half-time lead over undefeated Suffolk. Brandon Butler and Jared Garcia dominated the face off's winning 18 out of 24. The defense showed its toughness holding down a potent offense. Chad Henry (3 goals, 3 assists), and Adam Zuder-Havens (2 goals, 3 assists) lead the offese charge with Lovell, Rennetta, Kay, Franzen, Weaver, and Burton contributing points. Herkimer's next game is Tuesday, April 5th at Herkimer High School starting at 4 pm vs. Hudson Valley Community College.

Top-ranked HCCC beats MVCC

Herkimer scored two goals in the first ten seconds of the game and never looked back. Twenty-four different players contributed to the final 32-1 victory. Goalies Andy Bowerman, Drew Smith and JJ Donnelly played well letting in one goal.

Men's Lacrosse Team Beats #1 Team in the Country 12-6

The Men's Lacrosse Team improved it record to 3-0 on the season with a hard fought victory over the #1 team in the country Essex Community College. The offense was led by Adam Euder-Havens with 2 goals and 3 assists, Chad Henry scored 4 goals, Marshall Kay, Brandon Butler, Derrik Franzen, Rob Kenetta and Trevor Wager all scored for the Generals. The Defense was led by goalie Brett Queener, defensmen Todd Olsen, Mike Piccin, and Anthony Bozysnowski. Next up for the generals is Mohawk Valley Community College on March 31st, played at Proctor High School starting at 5 p.m.

Barnard announces more signings

HCCC men's lacrosse coach Scott Barnard has announced the signings of 6 more Generals to NCAA scholarships; Kiel Adams of Rome, NY has signed to play at Sacred Heart, Walker Bateman of Utah will be at Brigham Young University, goalie Mike Bringley will attend Division II Mercyhurst along with Matt Woolshlager, Chris Tracey will play at Stony Brook and Chris Mitchell will attend Mt. St. Mary's.
