Herkimer Cross Country

Head Coach: Julie DelMedico

Julie DelMedico is a first-year head coach for the Herkimer Generals men’s and women’s cross country team. A graduate of Sauquoit Valley High School (2002), DelMedico was a four-sport varsity athlete participating in cross country, soccer, basketball and track and field. She went on to play basketball at SUNY Geneseo.

Last spring, DelMedico served as assistant coach for HCCC’s track and field team working specifically with the distance runners. Her efforts helped yield a 7th and 19th place finish at Nationals for the women’s and men’s teams, respectively, and a national champion, Sarah Lazarus, in the 800 and 1,500 meter races.

DelMedico holds a B.A. from SUNY Geneseo and is currently working toward a master’s degree at SUNYIT. In addition to her coaching duties, she is employed as a technical assistant in the College’s fitness center.
