Associate Head Coach: Cary Davis

Cary Davis returns for his 12th season with the Generals program.  Coach Davis has spent the past 12 years working with the Generals' pitching staff. He works directly with the pitching staff specializing in mechanics and pitch development. He has produced some of the top pitchers in the region during his tenure at Herkimer.

Davis was born in New York City but played high school baseball in St. Johnsville, NY. Coach Davis continued his career as a student-athlete at Oneonta State where he was a two-sport athlete in soccer and baseball.

After graduation, Davis started a long career in professional baseball. His stops included Pirates Single A, Reynosa-Mexico, Portland Mavs, Reds Spring Training, Lockout strike camp in 1977, Seavertown St. Petersburg. He finished his professional career for the Oneonta Yankees A. Davis spent a lot of time in more recent years coaching and working clinics and camps. The long-time assistant for Herkimer worked as a pitching coach for the Catskill Cougars A in 1996.
