Scholarship Winners
Established in 1999, the HCCC Alumni Scholarship consists of two (2) $250 annual awards. One to a freshman and another to a graduating senior based on academic performance, contributions to the College, and financial need.

2006
The recipient(s) of this award will be John Doucette and Jessica Guyette.
2005
The recipients of the award are Andrew Vickers and Cassandra Estey.
Andrew is a freshman enrolled in the Criminal Justice program.
He currently holds a 3.31 gpa. Andrew is a member of the Criminal Justice Club,
the Boys Scouts of America, and the Herkimer Junior Police Academy.
Cassandra is a senior enrolled in the Liberal Art & Science: Social Science
curriculum. She currently holds a 3.96 gpa. Cassandra is an officer of SADD
and a member of the Student Government Association and the Student Activities
Committee. She plans to continue her studies at SUNY Albany in the field of Psychology.
2004
The recipients of the awards are Gia Vallone, Kelly Young, & Denise Frederick.
Gia is the recipient of the Alicia Harris Memorial Scholarship.
She is a Liberal Arts & Science: General Studies major and currently carries a gpa of 3.88.
Kelly is the recipient of the Alumni Association--Freshman award.
She is also enrolled in the Liberal Arts & Science: General Studies curriculum and carries a 3.81 gpa.
Denise is the recipient of the Alumni Association--Senior award.
She is enrolled in the Computer Information Systems: Microcomputers for Business curriculum. She carries a 3.95 gpa.
2003
The recipients of the award are Naleef Fareed and Lauren Anderson.
Naleef is a Business Administration major. He currently carries a 4.0 GPA
and is an Honors Program participant. Naleef is also a
member of Delta Psi Omega, Biology Club, International Club, and Art Club.
Lauren is a graduate of Proctor High School. She is an Occupational Therapy major and carries a 3.02 GPA.
Lauren is an officer of the Social Issues Club. She is also a member of
Phaethon, Performing Arts Club, OTA Club, Photography Club, and Digital Creativity
Club. Lauren plans to transfer to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where
she will major in Occupational Therapy.
2002
Joseph Szvmanski - An R/TV major with a 4.0 GPA and a member of the Radio-TV Club.
Byron Parker - A graduate of Lyme Central Schools, he is a R/TV major. Bryon is an active member of the Television/Radio Club, Open House Committee, and Student Senate.
2001
Sarah Steenburg - A graduate of Herkimer Senior High School, she is a President's List scholar, an officer of Phi Beta Lambda, and an Honors Program participant. Sarah plans to pursue a degree in Special/Elementary Education at Plattsburgh.
Richard Cole - A Liberal Art & Science-General Studies major, he is a member of Student Senate, Social Issues Club, and History Club.
2000
Jeremy Nemitz - A graduate of Frankfort-Schuyler Central, he is an Honors Program participant, a member of the Criminal Justice Club, and enrolled in the Criminal Justice program.
Rebecca Weidman - A graduate of Fonda-Fultonville Central Schools, she is an active member of Phi Theta Kappa and the Social Issues Club. She is enrolled in the Social Science curriculum.
1999
Tracy Davis - A graduate of Dolgeville Central School. A President's List scholar in the Liberal Art & Science-General Studies curriculum. Plans to transfer to SUNY Oneonta.
Kimberly Koziarz - A graduate of Holland Patent High School, she is a President's List scholar in the Liberal Art & science-science curriculum. |
