Why Visit Us?

Visiting campus is truly the best way to get to know Herkimer, and discover if you could see yourself here. We invite each and every student considering Herkimer County Community College to visit our campus and experience firsthand what makes us so unique. Take a tour of campus. See our on-campus housing. Speak with a faculty member. This experience allows you to get a real feel for our atmosphere and personality.

Schedule A Visit

We offer a variety of different ways you can visit the Herkimer campus.

Individual Visits: During this visit you can meet with an admissions and financial aid counselors, discuss housing options and find out about the many student services we offer. During the regular academic year two campus tours are offered daily:

  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10:30am and 2:00pm
  • Tuesday and Thursday 11:00am and 2:00pm

During the summer months, May through August, we offer campus tours on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 am.

Open House: Two Open Houses are scheduled each year for prospective students and their families to visit campus, discuss admissions and financial aid, meet faculty and explore housing options. We will be releasing our 2009-2010 Open House dates in May.

Saturday Information Sessions: Can't visit us during the week? Visit us on one of our exclusive Saturday Sessions. The admissions and financial aid offices will be open from 9am-12pm. Tours of campus and on-campus housing will be available at 10:45am. Our first Saturday Session for Fall 2009 will be Saturday, October 10, 2009.

What Can I Do On My Campus Visit?

The Herkimer County Community College Admissions Office offers interviews to high school seniors and transfer students on a space available basis. They are a good way for us to learn more about you, and for you to learn more about us, in a one-on-one setting. Information sessions, led by an Admission Counselor, are available to high school juniors.
